The Season of Singing Has Come

Updated: Apr 27, 2023

See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone.

Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come.

As the chill of winter fades away, the world comes alive with the beauty of springtime. The trees are bursting with new leaves, and the flowers are blooming in brilliant shades of pink, purple, and yellow. Spring is a time of renewal and rejuvenation, a time when new life emerges from the earth and the world is filled with hope and possibility.

In the natural world, springtime marks the end of a long period of dormancy for many plants and animals. As the temperatures begin to warm, plants start to grow, and animals come out of hibernation. Birds return from their winter migrations, and the air is filled with their joyful songs. Everywhere you look, new life is springing forth, and the world is transformed into a vibrant, colorful oasis.

But springtime is not just about the natural world. It is also a time of renewal for us as humans. After a long, cold winter, we emerge from our homes and start to engage with the world again. We shed our heavy coats and boots, and we embrace the warmth and light of the sun. We begin to take on new projects, try new things, and explore new possibilities. Springtime is a time of growth and transformation, a time when we can shed the old and embrace the new.

One of the most beautiful things about springtime is the sense of hope and possibility that it brings. It is a time of year when anything seems possible, when we can dream big and imagine all the wonderful things that the future might hold. As the world comes back to life around us, we are reminded that there is always the potential for new beginnings and fresh starts.

The arrival of spring is also a reminder of the Easter season, when we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. Easter Sunday is the culmination of Holy Week, a time of reflection and remembrance of the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross for our sins. Through his death and resurrection, Jesus conquered death and sin, and opened the way for us to have new life and salvation. Just as springtime brings new growth and fresh starts, the resurrection of Jesus offers us the opportunity for a new beginning. We can leave behind the darkness and despair of our old lives and embrace the hope and joy that comes with a life in Christ.

As we enjoy the beauty and renewal of springtime, let us also remember the new life that Jesus offers us. Let us take inspiration from the natural world and allow ourselves to grow and transform. Let us embrace the hope and possibility of the season and imagine all the wonderful things that the future holds. Springtime is a time of new life, and with it comes the potential for endless growth and infinite possibility.

Redeeming Life Outreach Ministries is headquartered in Sanford, Florida where it began in 2013 with a vision and a Christ-centered maternity home to help single moms in crisis pregnancy situations who courageously chose life for their unborn babies. Several years later, RL opened a transition home to allow moms and babies to live in a sheltered environment while continuing to build job skills and complete educational goals before living independently. An expansion into the Chicago area is planned for 2023 with an additional maternity home opening in the northwest suburbs. Redeeming Life’s program offers moms more than just housing with the inclusion of a life skills curriculum, support for education and job skill training, a family-like setting, and the personal and spiritual support to build a successful and independent life.
