Blessings Abound at the Hearts in Mission Gala 2018

Updated: Aug 9, 2019

The fifth annual Hearts in Mission Gala for Redeeming Life Outreach Ministries (RLOM) was a fantastic success.  Held on Saturday evening, October 6, 2018, the event was sold out in record time, with all tables sponsored and filled by people whose hearts are truly "sold out" for the mission carried out through Redeeming Life Outreach Ministries.

It is only by God's grace and with the generous spirits and servant hearts of our supporters that RLOM has been able to give praise and thanks to God for an abundance of blessings.  This year RLOM was able to add to its Maternity Home for pregnant women in crisis, by launching phase 2 of care for mothers and babies through Transitional Housing!

At the gala this month, over $40,000 of a $50,000 goal was raised to continue the work to support LIFE, FAITH, and OPPORTUNITY for mothers and babies in need.

Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the ongoing support and generosity that has been gifted to Redeeming Life Outreach Ministries.  We have so many day to day volunteers and supporters - far too many to thank individually here, but please know you are the heart and backbone of this ministry, and we couldn't do it without you!

Thanks also to our Gala Sponsors for this year: our Event Sponsor, The Brooks & Senkarik Family; our Dinner Sponsor, Thrivent Financial; and our Dessert Sponsor, The Escue Family.  What a blessing you are to our RLOM mission!  Thanks also to our Volunteer Event Coordinator, Kyle Lublin; and the amazing Gala Event Planning Committee; Carol Landaeta, Jane Reed, Lora Mason, Julie Maire, Marilyn Illsley, Peg Henerson, and Myrtle Paulson; our Event Photographer, Marilyn Illsley; and our designer/publisher, Chanda Gillenwater.

Our keynote speaker this year, Pamela McCauley, was an amazing inspiration and blessed us by sharing her personal story of being a teenage mother and how she was able to overcome many obstacles in her lifetime to pursue her dreams.  A big part of that path to success was being able to rely on the love, support and guidance of others in her life, and that's what Redeeming Life is all about! She inspires others to focus on their strengths and keep moving forward, something we can all relate to!

In addition to our keynote speaker, Rev. Wally Arp, from our partners in ministry at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, spoke to pursuing our dreams for RLOM with an invitation to partner with RLOM in reaching its $50,000 goal for the 2018 gala, encouraging us to believe that we can do ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens us!

If you weren't able to attend and hoped to tour the maternity or transitional housing homes, or make a contribution to support Redeeming Life's mission, we can still make those things happen. If you'd like a tour, please feel free to contact us at info@rlom.org to schedule a visit.  You can also participate in providing support to RLOM through prayer, volunteer support and/or financial support.  Help us reach that $50,000 goal!

In addition to those options, you can also help to spread the word by "liking" and following the RLOM  Facebook page.  That seems like a simple thing, but by following the page, and then "liking" and sharing photos and stories that are shared, you extend the reach, and OUTreach, of RLOM by letting more and more people know about Redeeming Life and what the ministry wants to offer to mothers and babies in need - to reach out with the love of Christ to support single expectant and postpartum mothers, by providing a safe, stable, Christ-centered home with opportunities for growth in their relationship with their Savior, as well as career, parenting, and life skills education, that they might love and care for their children as God loves and cares for them.

Thank you!  To everyone who participated to make this year's Hearts In Mission Gala a great success, and to all those who support us day by day throughout each year, all to the glory of God!  Thank you!
